E002 TIBETAN BOOK OF THE DEAD        /        EDITION      (book)

The Bardo Thödol, also known as The Tibetan Book of the Dead, is a sacred Buddhist text that guides the soul through the journey after death, from the moment of dying, through the intermediate state (bardo), and into rebirth.

Traditionally read aloud to support the dead or dying, it describes three stages: the encounter with the clear light, visions shaped by karma, and the transition into  a new life.

Intention

This edition reimagines the text through the visual language of Enter the Void, blending its deep spiritual message with a vivid, dreamlike atmosphere. Inspired by the film’s glowing neon, shifting perspectives, and sense of altered reality, the design becomes a meditation on impermanence. Through hypnotic forms, shifting typography, and surreal imagery, this work invites readers to contemplate the art of dying.
